How can sexual harassment training in the workplace protect my company from liability in Connecticut?
This training must be provided to existing employees by October 1, 2020. Employees hired on or after October 1, 2019 must receive this training within six months of hire. The training must include interactive elements.
Employers will be required to provide to a new employee a copy of information regarding the illegality of sexual harassment and remedies available to victims. The employer must provide supplemental training not less than every 10 years.In addition, posters describing the illegality of sexual harassment must be posted in the workplace.

- The employer should take immediate steps such as disciplinary action to stop harassment.
- Employees should be encouraged to confront the harasser directly and inform them that the conduct is inappropriate as well as informing management and Human Resources
